Custom-made Joint Collaboration: Sun & Moon Light Workers - Metalworking Guiding Needle Hairpin Pendant

This work is inspired by the imagery of "Light Workers" and is a customized object created in collaboration with DoMa, a sewing teaching brand. By transforming the client's sewing tools, a small worker image that brings healing, inspiration, and guiding energy is designed. They shine like the sun and moon, illuminating darkness and confusion day and night, bringing stable light to the body, mind, and spirit. The sun symbolizes action, power, and awakening; the moon represents intuition, emotions, and inner wisdom. This guiding pin is not just a practical accessory for hairpin and pendant, but also a spiritual object that connects the wearer with their inner self and helps them regain direction. The design incorporates three types of natural gemstones with spiritual healing energy and the brass material specified by the client:

• Labradorite: Resonating with lunar energy, it helps enhance intuition and inspiration, serving as an important guiding stone for exploring the inner world. 

• Moonstone: stabilizes emotions, softens thoughts, helps release stress and awakens inner feminine energy, corresponding to the gentle power of the moon.

• Lapis Lazuli: Symbolizes truth and communication while bringing focus, resonating with the throat chakra and third eye chakra, aiding in clear expression and spiritual awakening. 

These three stones, combined with the imagery of the sun and moon, center around the theme of 'guidance' and incorporate a dual-purpose design (usable as both a hairpin and a pendant), aiming to become a personal little guardian for the client in their daily life and work activities.

This work is made using completely hand-crafted metalworking techniques.

1. Brass Cutting Saw  .Use a saw frame to cut the brass sheet along the sketch outline, establishing the basic structure of the overall shape. 

2. Welding (Silver Soldering): Joining various components (such as decorative details, pins, pendant loops, etc.) by heating them with a flame. The process requires precise temperature control to ensure the solder joints are strong without losing any detail. 

3. Filing and Polishing (Trimming and Polishing) Use files, sandpaper, and polishing machines to trim and smooth every edge and corner, making the metal surface smooth and delicate to enhance wearing comfort. 

4. Electroplating (silver plating) is applied to enhance texture and provide anti-oxidation treatment. The entire piece is finished with silver plating, presenting a pure and serene luster that echoes the themes of the moon and spiritual healing.
